About Breathe LA 365.

Breathe LA 365 is a Los Angeles healthy-home HVAC planning company led by Marcus Reyes, P.E. Comfort audits, AHRI-matched heat pump installs, MERV 13 filter cabinets, mini split sleep cooling, duct redesign, and Title 24 permit-ready scope.

Short answer: Breathe LA 365 is a Los Angeles HVAC engineering practice that designs and installs comfort scopes around the room outcome — sleep, smoke readiness, nursery air, allergy relief, pet households — instead of selling commodity tonnage. Lead engineer Marcus Reyes, P.E., signs every comfort audit.

The brand position: comfort lab, not commodity HVAC

Breathe LA 365 is a healthy-home comfort lab for Los Angeles homeowners who are not shopping for metal boxes. They are trying to help a child sleep through warm summer nights, keep a primary bedroom quiet enough for a partner who works nights, prepare a Pasadena foothill home for the next wildfire smoke event, reduce dust paths in a pet-heavy postwar bungalow, or replace 18-year-old equipment without losing the room outcome they were already promised by the previous installer.

The voice is calm, practical, and specific. We do not use medical claims as sales copy. We do not invoke "miracle filters" or "hospital-grade air." We use room mapping, static pressure measurement, AHRI matching, filter cabinet design, and install discipline to make HVAC decisions easier for homeowners to verify and trust. When a competing quote is the better choice, we say so. When the right project is half the size of the quote you already received, we say so in writing.

02

The installation bias is engineering-led

The company prioritizes heat pump installations, bedroom mini splits, MERV 13-ready filter cabinets, whole-home indoor air quality packages, duct redesign with air balancing, and smart zoning. Repair-only content exists on the site only when it helps a homeowner understand whether installation is actually the right next step. Most homes in Los Angeles do not need a full system replacement; many need a return-side fix, a balancing change, or a single-room ductless head.

That bias is not a marketing pose. It is the result of running thousands of audits across Los Angeles County over the past decade and watching which projects actually delivered the comfort outcome the homeowner wanted. Static pressure data, supply CFM measurements at registers, return free-area calculations, and post-install commissioning readings are the deciding evidence — not a sales script.

03

The engineer behind every scope

Marcus Reyes, P.E. is the Lead Mechanical Engineer & Comfort Lab Director at Breathe LA 365. Marcus Reyes leads design, diagnostics, and installation oversight at Breathe LA 365. After 17 years engineering residential HVAC across Los Angeles County, including high-efficiency heat pump retrofits, ductless multi-zone projects, MERV 13-ready filter cabinet design, and post-wildfire indoor air recovery, he writes the technical scope for every comfort audit and supervises commissioning readings on installed systems. His Comfort Lab approach starts from a measured room outcome rather than nameplate tonnage.

Credentials include P.E. (Mechanical, California), ASHRAE Member, BPI Heat Pump Energy Professional (HEP-IDL), NATE-certified Air Distribution, Title 24 Energy Code Compliance. Marcus Reyes graduated from B.S. Mechanical Engineering, University of Southern California with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and has spent 17 years engineering residential HVAC across Los Angeles County. His focus areas span heat pump load matching, static pressure diagnostics, wildfire smoke filtration design, ductless head placement and acoustics, Title 24 permit-ready scope writing. Every comfort audit at Breathe LA 365 is signed under his name; every install package includes his commissioning readings; every guide on this site is written or technically reviewed by him.

04

How the comfort audit actually works

The audit takes 60–90 minutes onsite. We measure room temperatures across multiple positions, supply CFM at registers, return-side leakage at the filter cabinet door perimeter, total external static at the air handler, indoor relative humidity, blower amperage, and equipment nameplate data. We photograph blower wheel condition, coil condition, duct integrity at accessible points, and any defects discovered. The deliverable is a written engineering report within 48 hours that names the recommended scope, alternative scopes, and the measurements supporting each recommendation.

The audit fee is credited against any installed scope so homeowners are not paying twice. If you have competing quotes, bring them; we review them at no additional charge during the same visit.

Service area across Los Angeles County

Breathe LA 365 serves Los Angeles, Pasadena, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Burbank, Glendale, Culver City, West Hollywood, Long Beach, Manhattan Beach, Calabasas, Malibu, and surrounding Los Angeles County neighborhoods including Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Encino, Tarzana, Woodland Hills, Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Mar Vista, Venice, Redondo Beach, Torrance, Silver Lake, Echo Park, Highland Park, Eagle Rock, Los Feliz, Hollywood Hills, Downtown Los Angeles, Koreatown, Inglewood, La Cañada Flintridge, and Altadena. Each city has its own building department; we handle permit submission, AHRI documentation, Title 24 compliance, and inspection coordination as part of every install.

Service utility coordination spans LADWP, Southern California Edison, Pasadena Water and Power, Glendale Water and Power, Burbank Water and Power, Long Beach Utilities, and SoCalGas where rebate or fuel transition is part of the project.

06

What we do not do

We do not make medical claims. HVAC engineering can improve filtration efficiency, comfort stability, humidity control, and acoustic environment; it does not diagnose, treat, or cure asthma, allergies, or any clinical condition. Families with respiratory or sensitivity questions should consult their physicians; we are happy to coordinate with clinical recommendations.

We do not promise rebate dollars. We document equipment, AHRI matching, refrigerant fill, commissioning data, and permit close-out so homeowners can verify current LADWP, TECH Clean California, HEEHRA, federal 25C, and any other program rules at the moment of contract. As of February 24, 2026, single-family HEEHRA heat pump HVAC reservations are fully reserved statewide.

We do not skip permits. LADBS and the independent building departments in Pasadena, Glendale, Burbank, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Culver City, Long Beach, and other Los Angeles County cities all require mechanical HVAC permits for installation or modification. Skipping the permit is the homeowner's risk, not the contractor's, and we will not put that on you.

5/5 stars

"Post-rebuild project. They coordinated with our architect on filter access, line set routing inside chase walls, and the Title 24 paperwork. Equipment arrived already commissioned with documented readings."

Lila Z. Pacific Palisades, CA · January 2026 · Heat Pump Installation
5/5 stars

"Canyon smoke is part of life here. They built a written smoke mode: which fans run, what filter changes when AQI crosses 150, where the portable HEPA goes, and which windows must stay closed. We finally have a plan."

Theo R. Calabasas, CA · December 2025 · Whole Home IAQ System Installation
5/5 stars

"Our primary bedroom was 6 degrees warmer than the hallway thermostat at 11 p.m. Breathe LA 365 placed a 9,000 BTU mini split where it would not blow on the bed and tuned the low-speed fan to under 22 dB. We sleep through the night now."

Daniel K. Studio City, CA · April 2026 · Quiet Bedroom Mini Split Installation
5/5 stars

"Condo, HOA approval, roof access, neighbor-sensitive sound. The team handled the packet, picked an outdoor unit rated 51 dBA, and the line route looks intentional rather than tacked on."

Robert H. West Hollywood, CA · February 2026 · Quiet Bedroom Mini Split Installation
5/5 stars

"Hillside bungalow with crushed flex duct in the crawlspace. They photographed every defect, redrew the trunk path, and the air balance report afterward was clean enough to share with the rebate program."

Renee S. Silver Lake, CA · December 2025 · Duct Redesign and Air Balancing
5/5 stars

"Three-story coastal home, top floor was always 8 degrees warmer. They placed two mini split heads, hid the line set in an existing chase, and the upstairs sleeping rooms are now within a degree of the main floor."

Naomi D. Manhattan Beach, CA · October 2025 · Quiet Bedroom Mini Split Installation
